Lake Naivasha Lake Naivasha is one of the most central of Kenya’s rift valley lakes and covers about 170sq km. It is home to about one quarter of Europe’s flower production which is made up with mostly expat Dutch growers in the area. It‘s also home to huge number of bird and animal species including the fish eagle, flamingos, Kingfishers, love birds, hornbills, hoopoe, weaver birds, hippos and much more. All of these can be seen at fisherman’s camp as well as a troop of colobus and vervet monkeys that can be seen most of the time. Oloiden Lake which was part of Lake Navaisha some yrs back just to the west has many cormorants nesting all year round squawking
